Round 2 Pick 13 (45): Dallas Cowboys select Harrison Smith, S, Notre Dame
The Cowboys continue to focus on improving their secondary in this draft, this time targeting the best safety remaining in what is a pretty weak class after Barron. Smith edges out Markelle Martin here, but either one is going to be a vast improvement over the guys that started last year for the Cowboys. He's also regarded as a high-character guy in the locker room, something that Dallas surely needs. - Justin!!!

Round 2 Pick 14 (46): Philadelphia Eagles select Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford
This one is going to make a lot of people happy in Eagles country. Fleener is easily the class of this year's TE crop. He is a big target at 6'6" 250lbs who has great athleticism and even better hands. As the primary target in the pro-style Stanford offense he can also run just about any route asked of him. Andy Reid has to be extremely excited about putting Fleener all over the field creating mismatches everywhere. He'll also immediately fill the forever vacant role in the Eagles offense of red zone target.
Round 2 Pick 15 (47): New York Jets select Mitchell Schwartz, OT Cal
Everyone knows the Jets are extremely weak at right tackle, so they address that position in the 2nd round. A 4 year starter at Cal, Schwartz is a better run blocker than pass protector, which is exactly what the Jets want to get back to this season. Being a fellow Jew, Schwartz is naturally intelligent and will be able to pick up the Jets offense right away and will upgrade the running game as a Day 1 starter. - Jim Mut
Round 2 Pick 16 (48): New England Patriots select Lavonte David, OLB, Nebraska
The Patriots select a three-down linebacker that will help get to the quarterback as well as neutralize any attack across the middle. David is an anchor that can stop the pass as good as he can stop the run. He has a knack for getting to the ball, as he has high football intelligence paired with speed and excellent read-and-react skills. In two years at Nebraska (JUCO transfer), David was in on 285 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, three forced fumbles, two interceptions, and ten passes broken up. Do you think the Patriots care that the guy is only six feet tall? - Jeremy
